Vacherin Fribourgeois Cheese is a semi-firm cheese produced from the milk of the Fribourgeois breed of cows that graze on Alpine grass and wildflowers.

The cheese is only produced by a small number of artisan producers, and can be difficult to find.

It has an open and buttery texture, with an acidic, buttery, nutty flavour, and a grassy, pleasant and strong aroma.

Pair with Burgundy, Bordeaux.
