I got the "strongly adventurous" surprise cheese sampler as a Christmas gift for my grandfather, who prefers bold, strongly-flavored cheeses. His comment was that they all seemed "pretty mild", and the ones he mentioned to me that we were both familiar with (Brillat-Savarin, Camembert) did not sound all that adventurous. The cheese did arrive in time for Christmas, and I don't think there were any issues with the quality.
