Unusual texture and taste

We couldn’t taste any garlic but it was streaked throughout with strings of an unidentified fresh green leafy herb. Did I receive the wrong cheese?
It was interesting to try but not a hit for us.

This one was developed for baking and although you can eat it at room temperature. It's really great when melted into a fondue style experience and the galic herb blends into the cheese.

Nuiton Garlic Cheese 200g

Origin: France – Burgundy
Milk Type: Pasteurized cow’s milk
Rind: Bloomy, edible
Texture: Soft, creamy

Tasting Notes:
Nuiton Garlic is a soft-ripened cow’s milk cheese infused with aromatic garlic, produced in the Burgundy region. Beneath its bloomy white rind lies a smooth, creamy paste that blends the richness of cow’s milk with the gentle warmth and savoury depth of garlic. The flavour is well-balanced—creamy and buttery with a fragrant, mildly spicy garlic finish that never overpowers.

Pairing Notes:
Serve with crusty bread or fresh vegetables for dipping. Pairs wonderfully with a crisp Sauvignon Blanc or a light, fruity Beaujolais. For a bolder match, try with a chilled glass of dry cider. Eat at room temperature or bake into a fondue style experience.

Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or so (right in the wooden box). Just wrap the bottom in foil, leaving the top exposed. Dip your bread, cured meats, steak or anything else right into the gooey, cheesiness.
