Fantastic Martin Pears Pashto Blue Cheese

I absolutely LOVED the Martin Pears blue cheese. In fact, all of the cheeses I ordered from Cheesyplace were great. They were well packaged and arrived in great shape! The downer, of course, were the prices. Because of this, I’m not sure I will order again. It’s just too expensive. But I do give Cheesyplace very high ratings for their products. I just hope they are not pricing themselves out of the market. It makes me sad, because it is getting more and more difficult to find good sources for quality cheese.

Martin Pears Passito Blue Cheese

Typically blue cheeses are not my favourites but this one was a lovely surprise. It has a sweetness that helps balance that strong “blue” taste. I would reorder not just for my guests to but for myself.

Piquant Pear Delight

My husband and I love blue cheese. We really enjoy sampling new ones and decided to give Martin Pears Passito Blue Cheese a try. We were not disappointed. The aroma of the Pear "Grappa" hit our noses when we unwrapped the cheese. The intoxicating odour made it impossible not to taste a bit immediately. It was delicious, just by itself. When we set up our cheese tasting tray, a few days later, it was a bit stronger, though still equally tasty on our palates. I make a Ginger Pear Preserve with cardamon in it, and put a small dab of this on one of my pieces of the Martin Pears Passito Blue. Absolutely, heavenly. I highly recommend this cheese to those blue cheese lovers who want to savour something exquisite. It is firmly on our list of favourite blue cheeses to indulge our taste buds.

Martin Pears Passito Blue Cheese

Martin Pears Passito Blue Cheese is from famous Italian farmhouse, Moro and one of their best sellers. Martin Pear Liqueur infused blue cheese from Veneto.

Talking about a unique combination of flavours, this blue is sweet, savory and everything in between. The sharpness of blue is wonderfully balanced by the Pear 'Grappa' after soaking in it for 2 months. 

Looking to try something completely different in blue, this is it. 

 

Our cheese mongers hand cut every cheese to order. We will always try to cut the exact weight ordered, however your piece might be slightly over or under the amount listed. But please know that we cut it freshly and specifically for you.

If you order several cheeses, we will usually make up for shortcomings on weight, if any, on the other cheeses ordered.

All cheeses are wrapped in special cheese paper and sealed to preserve freshness during transit.

Every order includes all the necessary thermal packaging and ice packs required for current weather conditions. Our main focus is getting the freshest product delivered to your door.
