Brilliant! After taking the cap off this fabulous little round, I scoop'd the cheese out with a spoon and didn't stop until it was all gone; didn't even need a baguette.
Aroma is Taste is rich & buttery with a hint of walnut. It's super-gooey with a bit of stretch which you have to wrap around the spoon.
Super-good!

Côte d'Or Cheese

The Facts:

Country: France
Milk Pasteurized cow
Age: 1-2 months

Tasting Notes:

Côte d'Or Cheese is a soft, washed rind cheese from France. Sort of a cross between a slightly more flavourful washed cheese like Langres or Epoisses, and a soft triple cream like Chaource or Brillat Savarin.

A very balanced, delicate soft cheese that is very easy to eat.

Mellow enough for white wines or sparklings but can also be paired with a lighter, fruitier red.
