My husband and I love blue cheese. We really enjoy sampling new ones and decided to give Martin Pears Passito Blue Cheese a try. We were not disappointed. The aroma of the Pear "Grappa" hit our noses when we unwrapped the cheese. The intoxicating odour made it impossible not to taste a bit immediately. It was delicious, just by itself. When we set up our cheese tasting tray, a few days later, it was a bit stronger, though still equally tasty on our palates. I make a Ginger Pear Preserve with cardamon in it, and put a small dab of this on one of my pieces of the Martin Pears Passito Blue. Absolutely, heavenly. I highly recommend this cheese to those blue cheese lovers who want to savour something exquisite. It is firmly on our list of favourite blue cheeses to indulge our taste buds.
